Secretary: Dr Michael Yelland. Michael Yelland is the Associate Professor of Primary Health Care at Griffith University after 13 years as Senior Lecturer in General Practice at the University of Queensland, based at the Logan campus and also at the Southport campus. His research and teaching interests focus on evidence-based diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal pain. His PhD was on ‘Prolotherapy for Chronic Low Back Pain’ and he is currently conducting a trial on prolotherapy vs exercise for achilles tendonopathy. His clinical practice at Daisy Hill is in general practice and musculoskeletal medicine. |

Examiner of the FACPM since 2006. Full time Musculoskeletal/Sports Medicine at Darlinghurst Medical Centre, Darlinghurst and Musculoskeletal & Golf Injury Clinic@ Mosman, Mosman. Was involved in the pilot study/research on the effectiveness of Prolotherapy in the treatment of Achilles tendinopathy with Assoc Prof Michael Yelland of Griffith University in 2007. Michael is married with 2 children and enjoys golf, snow skiing, dancing, bridge and anything French (language, champagne, food and travel). |

Masters Pain Management 2002 (Sydney Uni), studying Outcome Measures in Musculoskeletal Medicine. Past President of AAMM 1996-1999. Founding Member Australasian Faculty of Musculoskeletal Medicine (AFMM) in 1995 and current President AFMM. He has developed guidelines for managing low back pain for the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and is currently involved in developing the national undergraduate curriculum for medical schools. Full-time musculoskeletal physician since 1984 at Brighton Spinal Group, Melbourne, where he oversees pain management programs and performs injection and denervation techniques for spinal pain, headaches and sciatica.
