The Objects for which the Association is established are:
(a) to promote research into, and knowledge of, the causes, mechanisms, diagnosis, treatment and other aspects of disorders of the musculoskeletal system.
(b) to provide a forum for the interchange of ideas related to the musculoskeletal system and its disorders.
(c) to educate physicians, other health professionals and the general public in the diagnosis and management of musculoskeletal disorders.
(d) to encourage the management of musculoskeletal disorders being conducted in a scientific and ethical manner.
(e) to promote, arrange and conduct meetings, seminars, symposia, conferences, lectures, discussions and courses of study, on musculoskeletal disorders and related topics.
The Australian Association of Musculoskeletal Medicine
is a non-profit organisation operated and conducted by doctors on an honorary basis. Funding is only by membership fees, subscription, donations and education programs.
